So I met this guy.

Yes my husband knows all about it. He wrote a book. Now I am brutally honest. So here goes. I don't like the book. But that is the last negative thing I will say.

This author is great. He is graphic, descriptive, imaginative and most of all talented. I had to finish it even though the genre is way beyond me.

(I have issues they go deep and wide, often I am called strange. But I am pretty and I don't mind keeping my mouth shut so you won't know these issues are contagious.)

Back to the book...

Soul Stealers is about dead people... I have always had a problem with dead people and death and all that kinda thing. The theory introduced here is intriguing and tantalizing. I am sure it will keep you up at nights for a plethora of reasons. The reason it kept me up is because it is well written and beautifully developed but most of all it but the Thrill in Thriller.

Great job Steve!

I suggest you guys pick up this book asap. I only see it in Paperback but here is the link.

Can you TRAIN a killer? Or are they born?

D. Odell Benson

Amazon

I ran across this author on Facebook writing a story that was blowing my mind ON FACEBOOK. She was giving herself away. Her story enticed me and we clicked. That was in March 2016. I felt the need to read more of her writings so I purchased her book, I am glad I did.  I purchased her book in May 2016 and finally began my sleep deprived read of “My First Kill”.

Matt is out rage ous... the funniest part of this book to me is the concern for hygiene, yes mouth hygiene?!?!?

Seriously, it goes to show you that if you train a child, whatever you show him is what they will do…not what you say but what they see. When they went stomping through my old hood of Chi-town I perked up. I have a cousin named TJ, and my dad was Pop’s to his working buddies…all I gotta say is “Are we related?”

Benson weaves a tale that made me shiver to my bones and made me late for work one day because I overslept. I read two or three books at a time, but post them in the order I finish. I read this one on my phone, my computer and my iPad. I finished this book before I was supposed to. I am waiting on the sequel.

I will buy the next one.

You need to get this one.

When it rains...it doesn't always pour. This time it does

DUBLIN IN THE RAIN

As a man, JP is as masculine, chivalrous, handsome, amorous, experienced, savvy, perceptive, dense, industrious, smart, dimwitted, and manly as any man could expect and of course this is expected because this story is written from a man’s point of view. But Sophie is beautiful, womanly, naive, sexy, girly, tempered, soft, seductive and just strong enough to make every woman love her, envy her, admire her and know that a part of her is her…this is surprising because again it is written in a man’s voice ~ so how could this be so. The twist and turns made me tear and almost cry. NO SPOILERS but I went to sleep melancholy because of total absorption in this story. I am enamored with this writer and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dublin in the Rain.

Are we alike? You will be surprised...

READ THIS BOOK

I am not politically correct by any means. The one little filter that tells your mouth how to sweeten a remark is missing. It I am often quiet “at the oddest” times. Only because my mom told me to keep my mouth shut if you do not have anything nice to say.

Well Ruby is just the opposite, she smiles and 'day dreams' the things that I would verbalize (but should not say). Until one day…

I will tell you there is a happy conclusion to this book. I hope there is a sequel in the short story because I want to know exactly what happens next. I will tell you Monica Handy has a talent for words. I will tell you her imagination (both of them) is limitless. But I wont tell you the plot or give away any spoilers. Get your own copy. I will not even lend you mine because #Indiewriters must eat also.

Buy this book it is a quick pick you up with a twist and turn and a bump you up. But don’t get me twisted. You will NOT roll over Ruby she has pizzazz. You won’t soon forget her. (Ruby or Monica)

JESSie likes Liliah's style

Reading is my life,
while writing is my career.

Writing is getting in the way of my reading.

Foreshadowing

I love romance with suspense and maybe some exotic, erotica. This story was direct and cuts to the core of every high school girl who doesn’t want peer pressure to eliminate her from the “IN CROWD”. Yet we all have those hidden what if, I wish, if only; thoughts that we just don’t share.
Sophie dreams to share these thoughts with someone, better yet live them. But what will they (her friends) think of her if she voices her inner most desires?  “My girlfriends would whisper in disapproval ‘Oh my gosh, Sophie you’re such a slut!’”

By the time Sophie gets into her dreams, desires or what we may say EXACTLY what we all wanted. The story is over. It is such a quick read, such a roller coaster, you will get back in line to ride again.

Lilah leaves your imagination wanting more. Come prepared for results, but she has told me unequivocally, “THERE WILL BE NO SEQUAL”. So, to Lilah I say “boo”…we want more of Sophie.

Stoker Ace

I love romance with suspense and maybe some exotic, erotica. However I am a straight laced, good ole’ fashion gurl.  If there are three people in the room (more less the bed), I am none of them. However, this author had me at “The man loosened his tie as if he was physically suffocating with the drama. He ran his hand through his dark hair and attempted to cut into the girl’s tirade, but she didn’t give him that chance, interrupting him with a sharp gesture of her hand.”

Evan is the manly-man all-powerful and strong. However, this tiny woman; Annabelle flicked her wrist and he became silent. Now you must ask is this by will, by training or by design. I won’t tell. I love the interaction and exchange between the two night owls. You will enjoy the third parties strategic observations and interactions. No spoilers here, you must figure out who wins, loses and who is really in charge during this short novella.

So, we ask ourselves what is the real hook in this book. Is Annabelle to strong and Evan too weak? Are they fit to continue as they are or is there change on the horizon? Simply ask yourself who’s in charge in your life.

Lilah leaves your imagination wanting more. Come prepared for results.

I was Forbidden to write about Fragile by Drew Sera… don’t ask me why.

This is my newest edition to The Solomon Sisters trilogy book cover. You want to read it?

I would too. As soon as it is released, I will let you know until then. Here are other books I have read and enjoyed. I hope you will enjoy them also.

Ask Mzz Dunning (www.Mzzdunningreads.com) about Fragile by Drew Sera. I was forbidden to write one word about that book. But apparently on July 6th 2016 I can say whatever I want to say. If you haven’t read it you may want to before then. I could add a spoiler or two to mess with your head. Until then let me tell you about a man and his ship.

The Assiduous Quest of Tobias Hopkins: The Complete Novel

James Faro on Amazon

James on Goodreads

I love romance! Well this romance is about a man who loves his history, his ship, the sea and his men. My oh my Mr. James Faro I can only give you 5 stars, and would gladly go take a star away from many stories to tell you how I was self-absorbed. It was tough not to take my meds (as I had bronchitis with a herniated disc). This was a challenge since coughing was not allowed and the cough medication made me very sleepy. I went to sleep twice holding my tablet because I wanted to know who did what to whom and when…nope I am not a spoiler kinda gurl. I will tell you that the flow keeps you in the moment without repeating itself as many authors feel the need to do. When you are mesmerized, you don’t need to fluff words to make a novella into a novel. You simply put excellent dialogue into a setting that makes you comfortable and you do this after you are well informed and your subject matter is researched to the ‘th degree. All of these things come into play with a carefully worded plot and unpredictable ending. Some of the characters make you a bit edgy, but the right ones come around making you love them.

Well done and thank you for the opportunity to read such an excellent storyline. It’s truly has been a while since I read (and enjoyed) a squash buckler. I would do it all again. My question is always “is there a sequel?” “If so, when. No really, when?”
Thank you for dropping by, see you next week.
